Our Client, a Beauty Trading Company, dealing in Product, Accessory and Equipment used in beauty/personal care services is recruiting suitably qualified candidates for immediate employment in the following position:

Category Brand Manager

Job Overview & Description

Detailed knowledge and experience in one of the following categories is required to be successful in this role.

  • Nail Care Division
  • Skin Care Division
  • Make Up Division
  • Hair Care Division
  • Fragrance Division

The Category Brand Manager ensures that all brands in his/her division are well perceived in terms of quality, luxury, price. He/she will do this through education, design, training, review and management of media content, monitoring and more. She/He optimizes value from prospective clients and users and detailed knowledge of product, use, value offering and competitor information. The Category Brand manager must have detailed over sight and knowledge of product life cycle, type and content as well as value offering of all products. Expertise with content development, good command of English language and ability to relate products with trends and events locally/ globally is required. Approves and oversees the creative development of promotional materials, website content, advertisements, and other marketing-related projects. Excellent Graphic skills using multiple software will be an added advantage.

Job Responsibilities

  • Brand Management of assigned division
  • Brand management of all its portfolios, working closely with digital marketers and the sales team to deliver strategy.
  • Creating Ideas for Original and attractive Graphics
  • Development of Mail Chimp, Newsletters, Bulk SMS and content for online media channels
  • Creating Monthly Strategy and Ensuring sales targets are met
  • Creating and setting up events, attending beauty shows and exhibitions
  • Content contribution to relevant media Channels
  • Liaising with Brand and manufacturer to support marketing efforts and access their sites to align communication but adapt it to work for Africa.
  • Promoting and marketing the business and Ensuring a vibrant and motivated team
  • Researching and analysing market trends, demographics, pricing schedules, competitor products, and other relevant information to form marketing strategies
  • Communicating with various media buyers, advertising agencies, printers, and other services to help marketing projects come to fruition
  • Providing in-depth information to interested clients, and acts as a representative for the marketing department in important buyer meetings
  • Working within budget to develop cost-effective marketing plans for each product or service
  • Tracking all digital marketing and sales data and creating detailed reports for senior executives
  • Adjusting marketing campaigns and strategies as needed in response to collected data and other feedback

Qualification and Experience

  • A degree in Business or Accounting or any other relevant discipline.
  • 2-5 Years experience in a brand management role
